This is a very good video, it explains how visual things evolve into something awesome, in the 50's movie theaters where not very usual mode to learn because of their low visual content, but now on time everything has changed.
The techology has change but I think the people that make movies still doing the same stuff like in the 50's like using different lenses how they film. Also in how you are going to be involve in the movie when you are watching it. :)
